What is appropriate will depend on how far in arrears your tenants are, and the associated costs for our services are dictated by this. The information below should guide you to the right place.

In more significant cases, usually where rent is two months or more in arrears, then landlords usually have the option to serve legal notices and look to start court proceedings.

A Section 8 Notice can be served as a demand for payment, with notice that if payment is not received by a certain date then a court application will be made for possession of the property and an order for repayment of the arrears. Take a look at the information on our Section 8 notice service.

We make our process straight forward for everyone involved:

Step One: Bring us up to speed

We ask you about the rent account and any action taken to date. We’ll need copies of your tenancy agreement and a recent rent payment log. Once we have everything we need and the relevant contact details for all parties we will be able to get started and confirm your options.

Step Two: Pay us the pennies

We let you know the fee and take payment of the fee so that we can move forward. We will either chase the rent, issue a Section 8 notice or instigate a court application – dependant on the individual circumstances surrounding your case.

Step Three: Assess the result

We will keep in touch with you to assess any progress and consider a future action plan, if required.
